I've been messing around with a new site design that I think I'm going to roll out in the next few days. This one was a good experiment, I just feel like it's become kind of limiting for some of the features I'd like to have on it.

I was so busy concentrating on being sick that I completely forgot to mention the MP3s that were added--go check out the MEDIA page to hear them. At the moment I'm planning on doing a small set for an Open Microphone Night on February 20 at Nicholls, though that all depends on how I'm doing with this mono crap by then of course.

When I get sick, I apparently don't mess around. So that I don't bore you with unsolicited details, I'll just say that I got what the doctor called a "vicious and extreme" case of mononucleosis (thanks for the confidence there, doc) and I'll be unable to perform for, at best, the next few weeks, and so have had to cancel all of the upcoming shows. Hey, at least I'm still alive! Though at the moment, it sure doesn't feel like it!

The One-Eyed Jacks show last night was such a great time, thanks to all of you who showed up! This Friday, February 1, we'll be playing a twenty minute set at Hammerhead's. Come see us if you're in the area then!

The band now has a name, "The One-Eyed Jacks", and we've got our first show under that name! We will be opening for the band Blush at The Final Round in Metairie, LA on Friday, January 25, 2002. The February 16 show at The Neutral Ground has been cancelled due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict.

The changes to the website are now complete! All that remains are minor additions and whatever other ideas may come to mind. As for shows, I'll be playing again at The Neutral Ground in New Orleans on Saturday, February 16, 2002 at 11:30pm. |
